Cross-Movement Legacy Initiative was founded by Dr. David Washington to address a critical gap in the philanthropic and cultural ecosystem: the need for durable nonprofit infrastructure capable of supporting innovative, community-rooted initiatives before they become formal movements.

In close partnership with the Transformative Good Lab, CMLI serves as the nonprofit arm that holds the model and operational systems necessary to align influence, capital, and lived expertise. Together, this structure allows transformative ideas to move from conversation to sustained impact — supported by strong systems, thoughtful alignment, and access to those positioned to create change.
